Linklaters hires senior Shearman man for NY finance push

Linklaters has hired the co-head of securitisation and derivatives from New York’s Shearman & Sterling, in the most senior hire yet in the UK firm’s continuing US lateral spree.

Gary Barnett, a specialist in financings, structured products and derivatives, joins the firm as the 13th partner in its New York arm.
