Freshfields appoints new Paris chief

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has elected a new managing partner for its Paris arm in the form of M&A specialist Jean-Claude Cotoni.

Cotoni, who has been a partner at the magic circle firm since 1991, takes over the running of the 38-partner arm from Jean-Luc Michaud for a three-year term.
