Taylor Wessing has scored a hat-trick of private finance initiatives (PFIs). The trio of projects – which all closed last week – involved a £50m hospital PFI in Buck-inghamshire, the development of two healthcare facilities in Swaffham and Sheringham and a £47m schools PFI in Barking and Dagenham. Hamid Yunis, who heads the firm’s PFI/PPP group, led all three teams on the deals.

For the Stoke Mandeville hospital project, he teamed up with projects associate Chris Toohey to advise the Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust. DLA acted for the trust’s partner, Enterprise Health-care, a consortium made up of Alfred McAlpine, Haden Young, Sodexho Health-care Services and HSBC Infrastructure Fund. DLA also advised the debt providers, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
