DLA and Piper merger hits delay

DLA’s hopes of securing an early deal with US suitor Piper Rudnick are fading, with the national giant now fighting to agree a deal in principle by the summer.

As revealed by Legal Week in February, the two firms have been talking since the beginning of the year to create a 600-partner transatlantic firm that would have an annual turnover of more than £500m.
