Telecoms giant Cable & Wireless has established a new global panel after an adviser review that is understood to have knocked both Linklaters and Baker & McKenzie off its legal roster.

Successful firms include Allen & Overy, Slaughter and May and Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw for mainstream corporate work and DLA and US firm Shaw Pittman for litigation and smaller commercial work. Charles Russell is understood to have won a panel place to undertake smaller litigation and general commercial work, while Herbert Smith unsuccessfully pitched to be included on the panel for the first time.
