City giants broker claim cap for individual deals

a&o: reviewing capping strategy Magic circle firms have started to put negligence caps on individual deals, Legal Week has established, with Link-laters and Allen & Overy (A&O) among the growing band of law firms to adopt the practice.

Both firms have agreed liability caps with clients on individual deals, becoming the first top City firms to acknowledge using such agreements, which slash the amount of compensation a client could win in the event of a negligence claim.
