Up to 19 staff in the Law Society’s finance department face redundancy following Chancery Lane’s decision to move a division of the team to the Midlands, Legal Week has learned.
The society decided to transfer the team, which works with the regulation unit, just before Christmas as part of a drive to cut running costs.
