Ogier secures transatlantic offshore merger first

Jersey-based Ogier & Le Masurier is merging with Cayman Islands firm Boxalls in the first transatlantic combination of offshore law firms.

The tie-up will see 84-lawyer Ogier team up with 21-lawyer Boxalls. The two firms, regarded as market leaders in their respective jurisdictions, will combine from 1 February, 2004.
