Ughi merger talks with Galgano end in failure

Italian independent Ughi & Nunziante has abandoned its bid to merge with corporate boutique Galgano.

A Galgano partner confirmed to Legal Week Global that talks had failed after a burst of enthusiasm in August when senior partners at the Milan and Rome-based Ughi confirmed discussing a tie-up that would have created a national firm with more than 100 lawyers.
