US firm Sidley Austin Brown & Wood has expelled leading tax partner RJ Ruble for alleged breach of fiduciary duty.
Ruble, who was an executive committee member, had been one of the firm’s top advisers on off-shore tax advice – a practice area that has recently come scrutiny by the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
