Bakers hires ex-Spanish Government legal chief

Baker & McKenzie has hired a former legal chief of the Spanish Government’s industrial holding company (Sepi) to boost the firm’s Madrid M&A practice.

Francisco Escat, who joined last month, becomes the firm’s 27th Spanish partner after two years as a partner at boutique firm Ferreras Abogados.
