Chicago’s Seyfarth Shaw has finalised its takeover of local rival D’Ancona & Pflaum in a deal that hands the top 100 US firm an additional 60 lawyers on its home turf.
The merger, effective from 1 October, will see D’Ancona assume the Seyfarth Shaw brand and relocate staff to the larger firm’s HQ, creating a 270-lawyer Chicago practice.
