Business lawyers who fail to advise on corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues are risking their clients’ reputations, a human rights group set up by the International Bar Association (IBA) has warned.

Leading a showcase debate at the IBA’s annual conference, the body’s Human Rights Institute warned delegates that it was time for corporate lawyers to wake up to the importance of CSR, whereby companies formulate and make public their ‘ethical’ stance.
