Corporate failures over the past few years, such as those that led to the collapse of Enron, have left many, now-destitute, Americans to call for whistle blowing measures to be introducedThe leading group for corporate counsel in the US has come out firmly in favour of the American Bar Association’s controversial move to relax its client whistle-blowing rules.

The American Corporate Counsel Association says that it believes that a relaxation of the rules reflects what the clients want, despite a backlash against the proposals from some of the leading bar associations.
