In-housers set for key privilege rights

Europe’s in-house lawyers look set to gain key privilege rights in an upcoming vote next month by the European Parliament.

The Parliament is scheduled to vote on 22 September on proposals to extend rights of professional privilege for in-house lawyers’ advice as part of amendments to the European Commission’s (EC’s) merger notification process.
