Trust expelled from Law Society council

Barclays Bank’s former legal chief, Howard Trust, has been expelled from the Law Society council for failing to turn up for successive meetings.

Trust, who was made head of legal at fund management group Schroeders in May, had been the Law Society member for the Commerce & Industry (C&I) Group since March 2002 and was one of the most high-profile City lawyers on the society’s 100-member council.
