Nearly half of UK non-executive directors have considered giving up their role in the aftermath of the Enron financial scandal, a survey by Legal Director has found.

The survey, conducted in association with law firm Taylor Wessing, found that although only 2% of non-executives questioned were planning to stand down directly as a result of Enron, another 11% had seriously considered it and 30% said it had crossed their mind.
