Baker & McKenzie has advised on a $3.6bn (£2.24bn) outsourcing deal to manufacture Intel-based servers for information technology giant IBM in Mexico.
Bakers’ local practice acted for global electronics manufacturer Sanmina-SCI Corporation on the deal, which sees the Latin American technology company take over the manufacture of the eServe and xSeries systems, IntelliStation workstations and ThinkPad notebooks for IBM for the next three years.
