The Lord Chancellor’s Department (LCD) has handed out a record number of QC awards in the annual silk round – despite a continuing fall in the number of applications.
The LCD announced today (17 April) that it had made up 121 new QCs, equivalent to 30.7% of the 394 applications – the third year in a row there has been an increase in the number of appointments.
