ParticipantsIn-house intellectual property (IP) lawyers have a lot to keep them awake at night. At least that is the impression you get from the latest Martindale-Hubbell counsel-to-counsel forum, which took place in London and focused on IP. Asked at the end of the session what gave them nightmares, the panellists came up with a variety of doomsday scenarios.

For one panel member it was a competitor patenting his company’s business processes; for another it was trying to value IP; for a third it was “UK IP judges” and for someone else it was the fact that “teenagers have grown up believing they can download music off the internet for free”.
