New York’s Weil Gotshal & Manges has shrugged off the faltering deal economy to post an 18% hike in revenues and a 15% leap in profits per partner, Legal Week can reveal.

The result for the top 10 US firm’s 2002 financial year saw yearly revenues hit $688m (£435.4m), rising on a 2001 total of $581m (£367.7m), with average partner profits up $170,000 (£107,588) at $1.3m (£822,730).
