Shaw Pittman secures £3bn outsourcing deal for JP Morgan

T Baxter Washington DC firm Shaw Pittman has cemented its reputation for IT outsourcing work after securing the lead adviser role on the largest outsourcing IT contract ever in the financial services sector, acting for JP Morgan Chase on a $5bn (£3.03bn) agreement with IBM.

The deal, worth $5bn over seven years, sees JP Morgan enter an arrangement with IBM to transfer its technology systems and staff to the computer services giant.
