British Telecom has formed a new sales division which will act as a software reseller for the legal and other professional sectors. Open Orchard is planning to launch a new e-mail management system, called BT Ensure, at Cordial Events’ Legal IT 2003 trade show later this month.
According to Open Orchard, BT Ensure scans and classifies the content of e-mails and their attachments in real-time, inbound and outbound. Using specified criteria it can automate e-mail capture, depositing messages into an audited, tamper-proof database for later access. At the same time, the system can generate user responses to notify, warn, block or redirect the e-mail depending on given criteria.
