US trio profits from twin tech break up

The break up of Skjerven Morill has handed large teams to Sidley Austin Brown & Wood and Pillsbury Winthrop following the decision this week to dissolve the San Jose boutique.

Sidleys’ San Francisco arm will take a team of nine IP litigation partners, including chairman Edward Andersen and name partner Robert Morill, with Pillsburys taking on an eight-partner group, comprising IP litigation and transactional lawyers.
