What are your main goals as vice president and then president of
the IBA?
To identify what is needed to expand the individual membership and then put it into effect – because it is the individual members who give the IBA its strength and capability; to identify and seize all available opportunities to develop the IBA’s role as spokesperson for the worldwide legal profession; and to improve and expand our work in defending and developing the rule of law, human rights, viable legal systems and an independent legal profession throughout the world.
