Boston IP specialist Fish & Richardson has become the latest firm to profit from Brobeck Phleger & Harrison’s on-going partner exodus after taking a senior corporate and securities lawyer from the firm’s San Diego arm. Brobecks’ office M&A head Eddie Rodriguez will lead the
270-lawyer Fish & Richardson’s corporate and securities practice in San Diego.

Rodriguez’s move follows a wave of departures at the San Francisco-based Brobecks, with the firm this month also seeing the loss of Washington DC managing partner Rodger Tate to Hunton & Williams. The firm has now lost more than 40 partners this year.
