The newly merged French practice HPMBC Clyde & Co has bolstered its insurance practice by hiring a six-lawyer team from the legacy local law arm of Deloitte & Touche.

The team is led by partner Xavier Perinne and includes five associates. The group started last month and joins the firm’s top-tier French insurance and reinsurance group. The practice was forged by this year’s merger between Paris firm Honig Preel Mettetal Buffat Coulon and the 114-partner London insurance specialist Clyde & Co. The merged practice, which is known in France as HPMBC Clyde & Co, was formally integrated on 1 May.
