The Attorney General Lord Goldsmith and Cherie Booth QC have helped to launch a new education venture to widen access to the profession. The initiative has been organised with the education charity, the Sutton Trust, The College of Law and the London School of Economics.

The pilot scheme will see a series of introductory law lectures to be held for 40 students aged 16 and 17 from inner city areas of London. Around 20 of the attending students will be selected
to attend a three-day summer school in July at the College of Law.
