The European Commission (EC) has cleared the merger between HSD Ernst & Young and Andersen Legal and their accounting parents in France, to create one of the biggest law firms in Europe.
The decision gives the all-clear to the creation of a 1,000-lawyer firm, marrying the local legal arms of Andersen and Ernst & Young. The merged law firm is in the process of re-branding.
