Reed Smith closes in on California merger

Anglo American firm Reed Smith is in merger talks aimed at securing a major presence in the Californian legal market.

The Pittsburgh-based firm, which in 2001 merged with London’s Warner Cranston, is believed to be in talks with the Californian firm Crosby Heafey Roach & May.
