The International Bar Association (IBA) has lobbied the World Trade Organisation (WTO) this month on the liberalisation of legal services in the next round of trade talks – the first lawyers’ organisation to brief the WTO directly.

The IBA set up a heavyweight panel for the briefing in Geneva on 19 July, with UK giant Allen & Overy’s regional managing partner for Europe Stephen Denyer and US firm White & Case’s Paris-based partner John Riggs representing global firms.
