Ashurst Morris Crisp finance partner Jonathan Nabarro has advised Barclays Capital, JP Morgan and Credit Lyonnais on their £243m financing of an investment in French-based dairy products group Yoplait, by French milk co-operative Sodiaal and private equity firm PAI. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer corporate partner Jean-Claude Cotoni acted for PAI, with Willkie Farr & Gallagher corporate partner Daniel Payan advising Sodiaal.

Clifford Chance, led by securitisation partners Peter Taylor and Rachel Kelly, and Herbert Smith, led by finance partner James Slessenger, have advised the managers, Dresdner Kleinwort and Merrill Lynch respectively, on the £1.25bn second round of financing for the Eurotunnel. Marc Wasserman at Sidley Austin Brown and Wood led the team advising the new bond guarantee provider. Richard Holden of Linklaters acted for the agent banks to the existing debt syndicate.
