HK Law Soc opposes Woolf-style reforms for Hong Kong

Plans to forge a version of England and Wales’ Woolf reforms of civil litigation for Hong Kong’s justice system are facing stiff opposition from the former colony’s Law Society.

The Hong Kong Law Society has published a highly critical response to proposals set out by Hong Kong’s chief justice in November aiming to overhaul the region’s civil procedure rules.
