Chicago lawyers call for an end to Illinois ban on LLPs

Chicago Lawyers in Chicago are petitioning their state’s Supreme Court to lift its ban on limited liability partnerships (LLPs) following the collapse of energy giant Enron.

The Chicago Bar Association (CBA) and the Illinois State Bar Association have joined forces to urge the Illinois Supreme Court to lift its ban, calling it an “anachronism” in the current business climate.
