Legal Week’s Big Question (25 April) asked some City readers about how well the Law Society represented the views of City firms. Although many did not rate the Law Society highly for representing the interests of commercial lawyers, some 26% thought there had been an improvement in the society’s relevance in recent years.
These views, while encouraging to hear, do not give any feeling of complacency. What they indicated is a need for the society to work harder to communicate with colleagues in the City and to involve them more in its work.
