Sidleys halts German merger talks

The merger bid between US firm Sidley Austin Brown & Wood and Germany’s Von Boetticher Hasse Lohmann has hit the rocks after months of talks.

The two firms last met in February after which Sidleys’ US management decided to concentrate on its UK strategy ahead of any further link ups with European firms.
