Top continental lawyers are joining forces with their UK counterparts to pressure the European Commission (EC) to water down its proposed common takeover code as legal opposition to the controversial code mounts.
Top Swedish law firm Vinge – part of Slaughter and May’s best friends network – is the latest high profile firm to join the campaign and is understood to be discussing its position with the group of top 10 firms from the UK which are also fighting the proposals.
