Addleshaw Booth & Co has acted for the management of Regional Independent Media (RIM) on its sale to local newspaper giant Johnston Press.
A £220m rights issue and a new provision of bank debt are financing the deal, which is valued at £560m. The deal makes Johnston, already a major player in the market, one of the largest local and regional newspaper publishers in the UK.
