construction23Statutory adjudication, as a means of resolving disputes arising under the vast majority of construction contracts entered into in the UK, was introduced almost four years ago. It provides that any dispute arising under a construction contract can be resolved before an adjudicator who must make a decision within 28 days of the dispute being referred to him.

For all but the most simple and straight-forward matters, adjudication is a completely unsuitable and ill thought out method of resolving construction disputes.
