Jones Day secures Japanese joint venture

US firm Jones Day Reavis & Pogue has formed a joint venture with a Japanese law firm, becoming the 12th US firm secure a formal alliance in world’s second largest economy.

The deal, which will become official on 1 January, 2002 will give the firm 15 Japanese-qualified bengoshi, of which four are partners.
