Judicial reviews will be subject to a new pre-action protocol to be introduced next year in a bid to reduce the number of cases reaching court.
The Master of the Rolls, Lord Phillips, and the Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine, have approved a protocol to be published in the December update to the Civil Procedure Rules and to come into effect on 4 March, 2002.
