Freshfields, Clearys in Liffe battle

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is bidding against its client Euronext on behalf of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in the £390m battle to acquire the London International Financial Futures Exchange (Liffe).

Freshfields, led by corporate partners Graham Nicholson and David Higgins, is acting for the LSE after winning it as a new client from Herbert Smith in May.
