Awaydays, or ‘management retreats’ are now common practice among many businesses. Management teams, departments or even entire firms will arrange off-site meetings, sometimes for up to three days, to plan for the future or resolve specific problems.

Awaydays can be very effective for gaining clarity of direction and identifying the critical issues a firm needs to address to compete effectively and profitably. They can also contribute to more effective teamwork as common goals and objectives are agreed and people get to know each other better. They can act as catalysts for change and action.
