Insurance giant Axa is launching its first panel of approved barristers’ chambers to handle its litigation. The scheme is due to be launched within weeks once a final protocol governing standards of service and terms of business has been finalised.

The company remains tight-lipped over those chambers that are on the panel, but it is believed there will be up to 15 chambers nationwide. Successful chambers are understood to include Birmingham supersets St Philip’s Chambers and 5 Fountain Court,
Manchester pairing 40 King Street and Deans Court Chambers, Leeds’ Sovereign Chambers, Oriel Chambers of Liverpool, Bristol’s St John’s Chambers, Ropewalk Chambers in Nottingham and London’s 12 King’s Bench Walk and Crown Office Chambers.
