Allen & Overy (A&O) telecoms partner Chris Watson has taken all this talk of convergence a little too literally, if you ask us. Not content with being a partner in his firm’s communications, media and telecommunications group, Watson has also brought his
10-year-old daughter Emma into the act.
She is playing Harry Potter’s friend Hermione Granger in the forthcoming international blockbuster Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Emma was plucked from her local school to play the part, after the film makers asked the school if they had any budding young stars. “She had done well in the school play, so they suggested her,” Watson says.
