NHSLA announces mediation audit

The NHS Litigation Authority (NHSLA) has instructed its panel firms to monitor the number of cases that are settled by mediation in a bid to cut its £300m-plus annual legal bill.

Under the initiative, NHSLA panel firms will provide monthly reports to help build up an accurate picture of mediation use in clinical negligence claims.
