White & Case’s Turkish arm has bagged lead roles on two deals worth $5.5bn (£2.9bn) as the country’s banking sector continues to consolidate and attract foreign investment.
The New York-based giant advised Akbank, Turkey’s largest private bank, and its controlling shareholder Sabanci Holding on the sale of a 20% stake to Citigroup for $3.1bn (£1.6bn).
