Travers Smith’s AI arm has spun out of the firm as an independent business, in an unusual move that will see it sell its products to the wider legal market.

The product, Jylo, which will be led by the firm’s former director of legal technology Shawn Curran, who is to leave Travers to focus on Jylo, enables users to “easily explore, organise and interpret findings, using a combination of analysis and chat features”, according to a statement by Travers.
