Ashurst is hiring Bird & Bird intellectual property partner Roman Brtka for its Munich office, a move to expand the firm’s digital economy and dispute resolution practice in Germany.

Brtka, who joins Ashurst on April 1, is leaving Bird & Bird after 14 years there, including about three as a partner. He advises on trademark, design, competition and copyright law to German and international clients in sectors including automotive, telecommunications, media and sports. He has particular experience advising on market entries in the European Union, as well as on marketing campaigns, for example, for ESG, green advertising, and labeling, Ashurst said.
