The European Parliament approved the Artificial Intelligence Act on Wednesday by an overwhelming majority, establishing for the first time a comprehensive set of ground rules on AI.
The landmark law, which adopts a risk-based approach to regulate AI, passed with 523 votes in favor, 46 against and 49 abstentions.
